Experience

• Program Specialist, National Consumer Protection Technical Resource Center January 2009 - present
  Web training, one-on-one coaching and help desk support for technical software used by SMPs (State Medicare Patrols) to track their efforts to prevent Medicare fraud and abuse. The Center is a nationwide non-profit organization sponsored by the local Hawkeye Valley Area Agency on Agency.
• Senior Program Developer, GMAC Mortgage, LLC March 2007 - September 2008
  Senior project manager, web presenter and designer for over 1500 associates and managers. Identified by the Vice President of Consumer Services Training as the standard to follow for all web training.
• Performance Consultant, GMAC Mortgage, LLC September 2003 - March 2007
  Web training and instructional design for a variety of topics included: mortgage products and programs, workflow, compliance, computer systems, marketing, business development, and more.

• MA - TESOL / Spanish, University of Northern Iowa September 1994 - May 1996
  Taught English-as-a-second-language at a local community college and worked as a bilingual bank teller / weekend supervisor while attending school full-time.
• BA - Spanish, University of Iowa September 1989 - May 1993
  BA Degree included a specialty in Latin American Literature and Culture; attended one semester in the 'VENUSA Study Abroad Program' in Merida, Venezuela

Little Known Fact About Me

I speak Spanish fluently and have traveled to Spain, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Panama, Costa Rica, and Peru (all on separate trips). I have also studied German, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, and French, but don't claim to actually speak any of these!
